Villa
Fairmont is a licensed, 99-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center dedicated to
adults who have a history of severe psychiatric illness with repeated
hospitalizations. The primary source of referrals is acute psychiatric
hospitals. Major service goals are symptom hospitalizations.
Under the direction of a multidisciplinary team, clients receive diagnostic
evaluation and treatment to address their psychiatric and medical needs. In the
absence of such services, many of these individuals would be in a hospital.

Major
service goals are symptom stabilization and a rapid return to the community for
persons recovering from an acute phase of illness. Offering evaluation,
treatment and rehabilitation, Villa Fairmont is the county's primary psychiatric
subacute facility.
Treatment
Practice and Philosophy Treatment at Villa Fairmont is based on the philosophy
that regardless of age or degree of impairment, all individuals have the
potential to improve their functioning and make choices about their living,
learning, and working environments.
The
programs at Villa Fairmont focus on reducing symptoms of chronic mental
disorders, maintaining independent living and social skills, stabilizing Medical
illnesses, and returning individuals to the most independent setting possible. A
multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals prepares a treatment plan
with each individual. Villa Fairmont provides a therapeutic environment that
includes training in community living and social skills, as well as individual
and group therapy, social activities and family support. A wide range of
treatment approaches enables individuals to explore their own potential and to
work toward their personal recovery goals.
